VANIMARU PROJECT is Vanilla and Maru, a Malaysian-based designer duo that creates original comics and novels.
What We Do
Established in early 2017, each of VANIMARUPRO's works are lovingly inspired by anime and manga tropes, Malaysian culture and lifestyle, and the duo's own fears, beliefs, humour, and interests.
Current projects include Spectrum: It's Life in Colour!, Purple Lipstick Designer Club, Starstruck, Hospitable, Soft Boy Bun Bakery, and VANIMARU'S 5 HERO COMPLEX.

Both Malaysian-based design students with their own aesthetics and interests that intersect in the most wonderful way, thus producing the works of VANIMARU PROJECT.
Vanilla serves as lead illustrator, and Maru is the lead writer. Both provide concept art and inspiration to their works, and each other.
